Payments
PayPal is the only form of payment I accept. If you do not have a PayPal account, you may pay invoices securely by inputting your credit card information directly through the PayPal website.
I have a strict no-refund policy, so please do not make any payments until you are sure you would like to move forward.
Once I have started the project all monies are forfeited to Christoph Herr and I will terminate your project without notice if you fail to respond to emails and do not attempt to make any other form of contact for more than 30 consecutive days. Should this occur and you request to resume your project at any time in the future, it will be at my sole discretion and additional charges may apply.
Timeline
I will confirm the exact timeline with you via email. Each revision of your design may take an additional 2-4 business days depending on the complexity of your request.
Please note that all timelines are merely estimates, and ultimately I will take whatever time necessary to provide you with a quality finished product. Due to the variable nature of blog/web design, delays do occasionally happen and are not considered grounds for a refund.
Once you have placed your order, I ask that you check your email frequently. Failure to respond in a timely manner (no more than 2 or 3 business days) may result in your design being put on hold. If this happens, other projects will take precedence and I may not resume your project for up to 3 weeks from the date you are ready to move forward.
Scope of Blog/Web Design Services
The installation phase of your web project includes the installation & configuration of your Genesis child theme and applicable plugins only.
Unless you have made arrangements with me in advance and I have specifically included it within your quote, the scope of your project does not include the management of content. This includes but is not limited to any of the following: Posts, pages, navigation links, widgets, and categories/tags.
Drafts & Edits
Because I am paid per project rather than hourly in most cases, it is vitally important that you communicate a solid and concise vision for your design before placing your order.
Edits requested on a particular aspect of your design that you have given prior approval on (or edits you did not specify when you were given the opportunity to make revisions) will be made at an hourly rate of $100.
Copyrights & Liability
As the client, you will own full and unlimited rights to any design project I create for you (including but not limited to logo & brand designs, blog/web designs).
You are welcome to edit any designs I create for you as you see fit, or hire another designer to do so.
By rendering my services, you guarantee that you either own or have permission from the rightful owner to use any elements of text, graphics, photos, designs, trademarks or other artwork you provide to Christoph Herr.
Additionally, I cannot be held liable for the success of your blog or website, including but not limited to the sale of products/services, increasing the number of site visitors or conversions and/or generating revenue.
Should you fail to comply by these terms, you will hold harmless, protect and defend Christoph Herr from any resulting claim or suit.
Compatibility
Each of my designs are tested for cross-browser compatibility, meaning I ensure it will display properly in the most current versions of Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari as of the date I install your new blog or web design live on your website. I cannot guarantee that your design will display properly in outdated or future versions of any web browser.
If you would like your website designed to be responsive and optimized for mobile viewing, please let me know during our initial consultation so I can include it in your quote. Responsive designs are tested on the most current versions of the iPhone and iPad operating systems, and are not guaranteed to display properly in outdated or future versions of any mobile device, operating system, or browser.
Your blog/web design is only guaranteed to display and function properly in the most current versions of WordPress and Genesis as of the date your blog/web design officially launches, and is not guaranteed to be compatible with future or outdated versions of WordPress or Genesis.
Content & Backups
I am not liable for any loss or damage to your blog or website content while installing your design, or any time before or after installation. To date, I have never lost or damaged a client’s content, but it can happen, and it is your responsibility to back up your website before and after the installation process.
I do not guarantee to have your design files backed up for any length of time. If for any reason your blog or web design is lost or damaged, I will fix or reinstall it for a fee if I have your files available.

This information will not be shared with anyone for any reason, and will only be used for the purpose of completing your project. You are welcome to temporarily change your password(s) while working with me.
